More than 320 athletes, including 122 coming from various countries, took part in the 32nd Nivelles international meeting on June 23, which not only had a perfect organization but also allowed many athletes to beat their personal best.
Among the foreign performances to highlight, there is the new stadium record established by Jamaican Wright on Discus Throw with 60m38.
The South African Magakwe runs the 100m in 10’’11 only 2 hundredths of the track record.
The Qatari Hairane is runs a top quality 1’45’’67 on 800m, not far from the EAP record.
Another Qatari Bagharab wins the 3000m in 8’03’’24. The Jamaican Carter performs 13’’93. on 110 m Hurdles.

On the women’s side, the Dutch Jacob won the 100m in 11’’54, the British Francis establishes a new meet record with 53m57 like the Australian Clay on 100m hurdles in 13’’76 and the Italian Hooper on 200m in 23’’26.

The Belgian (Excelsior) athlete Corentin Campener jumped 7m87 in Long Jump on a jumper that he particularly likes.

The RCABW athletes, the organizing club, have not been left out either in these high-performance events:
-  Gaylord Kuba takes 3rd place in the 100m in 10’’66
-  Arthur Pinter, still scholar, goes down for the first time under the 11 ’’ in 100m reaching the final A with 10’’96.
-  Laurence Guillet, our successful masters, takes a nice 3rd place in the 100m hurdles in 14’’55, her best performance in 2018.
-  Louis Vandermessen, who will compete at the U18 European Championships, breaks his record in 800m in 1’54’’61.
-  Jeanne Charlotte ended 3rd in the 100m in 11’’79, her best performance in 2018.
-  Vincent Stas takes the 2nd place in length with 7m57 which gives him a new personal best.
-  Vanessa Scaunet, imperial, wins the 1500m in 4’27’’28
-  Our young hopes in the middle-distance have again crossed a course. Ziad Audah took the 2nd place in the 1500m in 3’45’’61 and Dorian Boulvin the 3rd in 3’45’’99, 2 personal best records.

As every year, the meeting allows athletes to discover the international level and we can see in the coming years athletes who once passed through Nivelles.
On the other hand, we still regret the lack of presence of certain Belgian top athletes and a lack of spectators.

And yet, it was a great edition with the sun and the show in the presence of many personalities and former athletes of high level.

The 33rd edition will take place on June 22, 2019. Let it be said!
